On November 20, 2024, eComStreet, in collaboration with the Usha Mahavir Foundation, hosted a memorable plantation event in Noida, India, in honor of the late Mr. M.P. Mittal. This initiative celebrated his legacy by encouraging environmental administration and community engagement.
The event was filled with inspiring activities that united employees, volunteers, and community members. Participants planted saplings, symbolizing growth, strength, and hope for a greener future. The day began with a heartfelt tribute to Mr. M.P. Mittal, followed by an informative session on the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
This plantation event highlighted eComStreet’s dedication to social responsibility. By blending its values with meaningful action, eComStreet creates a lasting impact both at work and within the community.
Mrs. Usha Mittal and Mr. Mahavir Prasad Mittal inspired the creation of the Usha Mahavir Foundation. Mrs. Usha Mittal was in education as a principal at Govt College, Haryana, and retired as a sub-divisional Officer. Mr. M.P. Mittal was an Executive Engineer in the Haryana State Electricity Board. He also founded a software company, eComStreet Info Services, in Noida. One of their three kids faced a challenge with eyesight, with a disease called “Retinis Pigmentosa,” which gradually causes a person to lose eyesight.
Parents and Chirag spent a significant part of life battling this situation that life dealt them and not knowing what the future holds for them. They found by accident the incentives provided to Chirag if Chirag focused on his studies and cleared tough exams. Through his grit, Chirag continued his studies ( even when he had lost 95% of his eyesight) with the help of electronic devices. Chirag is now an Assistant Professor at a reputed government college. He has mastered electronic devices that help him lead a life as much as he can.
One thing was clear from this experience: Only a few people know the available opportunities. Over the last decade, Chirag has been working with many like-minded individuals who volunteer their time and money to educate others who have faced similar challenges in life.
In 2021, Usha Mahavir Foundation was established as a non-profit/ NGO organization to keep the memories of Mrs. Usha Mittal and Mr. M.P. Mittal alive and to take this cause to the next level by providing support to individuals who are dealing with life challenges and helping them achieve their full potential.
